As a fan of the Ultraman series, I wanted to share this free download with all of you. It is a fighting game for Nintendo 64 that is based on the show and characters. Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth is arguably one of its best renditions as it features not only Ultraman characters but also those from other popular Toku shows such as Sokoban Sentai Robo Ranger and Kamen Rider Den-O. Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth features pre-rendered backgrounds and characters that reflects the anime feel to it. Players can do "screen-kicks" which would show a zoomed in picture of the character attacking his opponent with its signature moves.The game was made available for download through the PlayStation Store on February 24, 2011. The main change in this version is that now you can unlock any character to play with by simply beating the game once on any difficulty. Aside from that, the only other significant change is performance tweaks to make it run better on Windows 7. Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth received "generally favorable reviews" according to the review aggregation website Metacritic.On April 28, 2017, Capcom announced that they would release the game as part of the "Capcom Arcade Cabinet" line of pinball machines. It was released on November 20, 2017. Other characters from other Toku shows featured in this game include:The game was nominated for Best Fighting Game 2005 by IGN. The game was also nominated for an IGN Readers Choice Award for Best Nintendo Game 2006. When the game was released for the WiiWare, a Famitsu interview was released by Capcom in Famitsu Magazine Winter 2011/2012 issue. The interview talks about plans of a "Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth" sequel, new characters and it states that if there is enough demand from fans to release more characters that Capcom will consider adding them in further installments of this series. On January 27, 2019, Capcom announced new "Ultimate Fighting Evolution" games for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on Square Enix's official website. They also confirmed these new games will be developed by Zentropi who also worked on "Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers". Shoryuken.com listed the game #10 in their 2009 Top 10 Favorite Fighting Games article, making it the highest ranking entry in the series. The game was also repackaged along with "Ultraman Fighting Evolution Rebirth (Wii)" in the PlayStation 2 title "". The game was released for this format on June 17, 2007. The game features all of the included characters but does not include online play or Wi-Fi support due to its file size.
